Glass vs polycarbonate roofs
Glass roofs respond to standard pure-water cleaning. Polycarbonate is more delicate — we use softer bristle brushes and a milder biocide to protect the UV coating. We identify roof type on inspection.

A full top-to-bottom restoration — glass and polycarbonate roof, frame, finials, cresting, gutters and downpipes — that lets daylight back into the conservatory and removes the green algae that quietly takes over season by season.
Free, no-obligation quote. No pushy sales. Family-run, Harlow-based.
Complete conservatory cleaning: polycarbonate or glass roof panels, aluminium or uPVC frames, finials and ridge cresting, integral gutters and downpipes — using pure-water reach systems and conservatory-specific cleaners.
Any homeowner whose conservatory has gone green on top, whose roof panels look milky from inside, or whose frames are starting to look grey rather than white. Particularly important for north-facing or tree-shaded conservatories.
Best done late spring before peak conservatory-use season, with a top-up in autumn after leaf-fall. We work year-round in dry conditions.
Conservatory roofs are fragile. Walking on them — even by a tradesperson — can void warranties or crack panels. Specialist reach-and-wash equipment cleans without anyone setting foot on the structure.
Roof type identified, frame condition assessed, integral gutters checked.
Conservatory-safe biocidal cleaner applied via reach-pole to roof and frame.
Soft-bristle reach brushes worked across every panel and frame member — no one stands on the roof.
Deionised water rinses to a spot-free finish.
Integral gutters cleared, downpipes flushed, frames wiped down. Inside-cleaning available on request.
Customers consistently report a brighter, warmer room immediately.
Reach systems mean zero foot-load on panels.
No streaks, no drying marks, no tap-water residue.
Integral gutter check often saves four-figure repair bills.
Glass and frame interior cleaning added on request.
Most conservatories done in 2–3 hours start to finish.

uPVC frames hand-cleaned with uPVC product. Aluminium frames cleaned with alkaline-neutral solution to protect anodised or powder-coated finish. Wooden frames cleaned with timber-safe products and recommended for re-finishing if showing wear.
Most conservatories have integrated box gutters along the eaves and ridge that block invisibly. Checked and cleared as part of every full clean.
Hand-detailed at the end of every job — these small features lift the appearance dramatically when restored.
Pressure-washing strips the UV-stable surface from polycarbonate, drives water under frame gaskets, and risks panel damage. Pure-water reach-and-wash is the only safe method.
