1. Who you're contracting with
All work is carried out by Roof to Ground Exteriors Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 15556482), registered office 90 The Briars, Harlow CM18 7DQ, United Kingdom. By accepting a quote, instructing work verbally, or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotes & estimates
Free quotes are usually returned within 24 hours — complex roof cleans may need a quick site visit first. Written quotes are valid for 60 days from issue. Quotes are fixed-price: the price we quote is the price you pay. Any additional work or repairs we identify on site would be quoted separately first, before any extra work begins.
3. Access, safety & utilities
You agree to provide clear access on the day of work, including unrestricted use of outside taps and a power socket where required. Where conditions become unsafe (high winds, ice, lightning) we reserve the right to reschedule at no penalty to either party. RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statement) documentation is available on request for commercial jobs.
4. Property condition
We treat every property with care, but exterior cleaning involves inherent risk to fragile or pre-damaged components (loose roof tiles, perished mortar, unfixed fascia boards, decorative items left in the work area). You are responsible for declaring known issues at quote stage. We are not liable for pre-existing defects revealed by the cleaning process.
5. Pets, plants & vehicles
Please keep pets indoors during work. Move vehicles, garden furniture, and delicate plants from the work area. Where this isn't possible, please tell us in advance so we can plan around them.
6. Payment terms
Payment is due on completion of the work, by bank transfer, debit/credit card, or cash. Where an invoice is issued, payment is due within 14 days. Invoices unpaid after 14 days may incur statutory late-payment interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
7. Guarantees
Our guarantee is straightforward: your roof will be clean or you don't pay. Any roof repairs we carry out are guaranteed. Every roof clean also includes a free follow-up visit in January/February to re-clear gutters of debris, at no extra charge. We do not publish a 12-month workmanship or moss-regrowth guarantee — biocidal treatment is included as standard to slow regrowth, but airborne spores mean some return over time is normal.
8. Cancellations & rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the start time. Cancellations inside 48 hours may incur a reasonable charge to cover scheduled time. We will give you as much notice as possible if we need to reschedule due to weather or staff illness.
9. Liability
Our liability for any single job is limited to the value of that job, except where liability cannot be limited by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence). We hold public liability insurance up to £5 million — certificate available on request.
10. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. For residential work agreed off-premises, you have a 14-day cancellation right unless you ask us to start work sooner and explicitly waive that right.
11. Complaints
If anything is not as it should be, please contact us first at Rooftogroundexteriors@outlook.com or 01279 295996. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
